What will your dream machine be? Will it fly or hover or scoot underwater? Will it be powered by sunlight or baked beans? Dream big. The future is yours to design.
HOW TO ENTER
What do I need to do?
1. Draw it
Create a drawing of your futuristic car. It can look however you like – we’re after a brilliant idea, not a perfect sketch.
2. Pitch it
Write a couple of sentences explaining how your car works. What makes it special, and why it would make travel better?
"In terms of what I'd like to see in their designs, it'd be great to see the contestants to forget all the limitations that they know about cars right now. What in their minds, would make cars better, safer, better for the environment or make journeys easier, safer and faster. Remember that the cars we know today were once just a dream!"
"I would love to see designs that tackle some of the problems that cars create. This is your chance to get creative and dream up ways to avoid traffic jams, free up city streets, avoid crashes, and invent cleaner engines."
What are we looking for?
- We are looking for machines that will help solve some of Earth’s biggest problems, such as burning fossil fuels, pollution and using up the planet’s resources.
- We want to see amazing futuristic ideas, creative innovations and fun solutions to the things that you find annoying with transport.
- Think about how the car looks, what it’s made from, how it is powered, what interesting or unusual things it does, and how it helps the planet.
Categories and prizes
